Iconic pair of René Malaval armchairs for the Biarritz Casino. France 1950's. These chairs are made of a welded steel base on which the perforated rigitulle structure sits. That structure is made of a backrest and an elegant wavy seat with rolled endings. The original yellow paint on the chairs is visible on parts of the backrests. Another old layer of black paint is also present on both armchairs, giving them a distinct vintage charm. Sandblasting and repainting of both armchairs is possible (quote upon request).
